Fun Facts

Hello! My name is Sanaa Burke and I am a junior at the University of Delaware. I am majoring in Meteorology and Climate Science, and I am a member of the fairly new “Climate Scholars” program here at UD. I was born and raised on the beautiful and enchanting island of St. Croix, located within the United States Virgin Islands. One interesting thing about my homeland is that you don’t need a passport to visit if you’re a U.S. citizen, since we are a U.S. Territory! In addition to the passion I feel towards my home, I have a passion for music. As a child, I played the piano for about 4-5 years, and I played the alto saxophone in my high school’s concert and marching bands. I also have a deep love for math and science, which has been this way for as long as I can remember.
